Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the difference between filler and neurotoxins?

Although dermal fillers and neurotoxins may seem interchangeable, there are key differences.

    The main differences are:

    • How they work: Neurotoxins relax the muscles that cause fine lines and wrinkles to form on the face. These muscles are involved in forming facial expressions. Neurotoxin results in the relaxation of expression lines in the surrounding areas. This is different than deep lines or hollowness, these areas of concern are best treated with dermal filler. Dermal fillers use hyaluronic acid to restore areas that have suffered from a loss of collagen and or volume. When these areas are filled with dermal filler, this results in a more youthful look.
    • Where they are administered: Neurotoxins are typically injected into the upper half of the face, with a few exceptions. Around the eyes also known as crows feet and the forehead are popular treatable areas. This is because these areas consist of strong muscles that work to create facial expressions. Dermal fillers are injected into both the upper and lower half of the face. Around the mouth,  lips, cheeks, eyes are all areas that typically suffer from volume loss as you we age. Dermal fillers are also a great product for body treatments such as the neck, ear, chest, and more.
    • How long they last: The results of a neurotoxin injections will last approximately 3 to 4 months. Dermal filler results last around 6-12 months. Both timeframes will vary depending on what type of filler or neurotoxin is used.
  • Where can I get filler?

Filler addresses volume loss. You can receive filler in areas that lack volume.

  • How much is filler?

Filler pricing starts at $700. We recommend that you come to see one of our aesthetic providers as we offer complimentary consultations.

  • Do you have to buy the full syringe?

We recommend filler by the full syringe. Half syringes are available in case by case basis upon physician approval.

We recommend the full syringe due to half-syringes not being sanitary and wanting our patients to achieve the best results.

  • How long after neurotoxin or filler do I need to wait to get a facial?

It is up to the client but we recommend 7 days.

  • Where can I get a neurotoxin?

Neurotoxins can be used to correct wrinkles of the face and neck and eliminate excessive sweat production under the arms.

  • What is the difference between Botox, Dysport and Xeomin?

It is like Coke and Pepsi. They all work about the same and will all have the same end result, it is just preference on which product is best fit for you and your  goals which can be decided by one of our aesthetic providers.

  • Will I look natural?

To get natural-looking results, the person injecting the filler must have expertise in placing the filler. All of our injectors are highly trained and all provide natural looking results.

  • What are the possible side effects of dermal filler?

After receiving filler injections, some patients may have minor, temporary side effects in areas of injection. The following side effects are all considered normal:

    • Tenderness
    • Redness
    • Swelling
    • Bruising (occasionally)

These side effects tend to clear within 2 to 14 days — if not earlier.

  • How many units will I need?

A common question that we receive is how many neurotoxin units a client might need in order to get the desired treatment results. Unfortunately, there is not a universal answer to this question. The amount of product and which product needed varies greatly from one person to another.
